Subscribers of HBO GO will be the first to watch critically acclaimed HBO and CINEMAX Original series such as Game Of Thrones, True Detective, Girls, Veep and Strike Back, 12-hours after they premiere in the U.S., even before they air on HBO.

HBO GO also enables subscribers unlimited access to an extensive library of original movies, concerts, documentaries, and series, including complete seasons of all-time favorites like Sex And The City, Band Of Brothers, The Pacific, The Sopranos, and Entourage, and thought-provoking titles like Angels In America and John Adams.

Special behind-the-scenes content of HBO Originals such as Boardwalk Empire, True Blood and Banshee is also available exclusively on HBO GO.

According to HBO Asia chief executive officer Jonathan Spink, the HBO Go service will “help combat piracy and give subscribers an opportunity to catch the newest episodes of their favorite HBO shows earlier.”

“Subscribers of HBO GO can enjoy watching over 1,000 hours of quality HBO Original content 12-hours after U.S. telecast. HBO GO is a versatile service enabling subscribers to maximize their HBO experience across multiple devices, whether at home or on the move,” added Spink.

“The Philippines is only the second country in Asia to carry HBO GO. HBO’s decision to launch it here indicates the great potential in our country, and their utmost trust in SKY,” said Carlo Katigbak, CEO and president of SKY Cable Corporation.

He said the service will be the start of a new trend of watching movies and entertainment content in the Philippines. “We at SKY feel honored and privileged to be the exclusive partner of HBO for this service which we predict will be the new wave of watching movies and entertainment content.”
