Say Hello to the new Moto Z2 Play, now in PH and retails for P24,990

Moto Z2 Play, an updated Moto flagship smartphone that is now thinner, lighter, and powerful

Motorola  launched its newest device the new Moto Z2 Play, a second generation Moto Z Play, the flagship device the brand introduced in the market a year ago. The Moto Z2 Play offers improvements  in specs and looks, particularly the the ultra thin all-metal unibody design that is only 5.99 mm in depth, a 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 64 GB storage, 4 GB internal memory capacity, and improved laser autofocus that can meter a subject up to five meters.

The Moto Z2 Play also features a docking mechanism to attach Moto Mods, or accessories that improve the functions and capabilities of the handset. Moto Mods include projector, high-end camera (Hasselblad Mod), or a gaming console.

During the launch, John Rojo, country manager for Lenovo Mobile Business Group Philippines, said the brand remains committed to delivering meaningful and transformative experiences through innovative mobile technology to consumers.

Apart from the introduction of Mods, Motorola improves on the experiences of using the smartphone through gestures, said Rojo, who cited as sample the turning on of the camera function of  the Moto Z2 Play by shaking the phone or another shake will turn the selfie function.

For 2017, Motorola will be more aggressive in promoting its products in the country. It will also narrow down its products to only 12.

Moto Z2 Play features 5.5” full HD super AMOLED display, 3000 mAh battery, which provides 24-hours battery life, and fast charging feature–15 minutes of charging can already provide up to seven hours of power.

For its 12 MP camera, the MotoZ2  Play combines laser autofocus and dual autofocus pixel technologies to produce brighter, sharper photos even in low light situations. The next generation laser autofocus has an expanded range of up to 5 meters, so you can focus on objects 3 times further in a virtually dark environment. And with the 5MP front camera and dual color corrected flash, you’ll look great in your selfies day or night — plus, fit all your friends in with the wide-angle lens.

Other features of the Moto Z2 Play include the Night Display feature, which automatically adjusts the screen to warmer tones at night, reducing the blue light that can disrupt your sleep. The Moto Voice provides helpful information like weather or calendar updates, or automatically launch an application without having to touch or unlock your phone. With a redesigned fingerprint reader, you can activate one button navigation to quickly move through screens. Swipe left to go back, right to access recent apps, tap to go home, and use one long press to lock your phone. And with no buttons to clutter the screen, you get a much better view.
