Bigger screen Alcatel One Touch Inspire 991D available for only P8999

Alcatel keeps expanding its two-SIM Android handsets with the Alcatel One Touch Inspire 991D as the latest inclusion.

The Alcatel One Touch Inspire 991D runs on 2.3 Gingerbread Android OS and already features HSPDA (HSDPA 14.4Mbps, HSUPA 5.76Mbps) for fast 3G Internet access. It is also Wi-Fi ready and has Bluetooth 3.0 w/ A2DP. By the way the HSDPA connectivity only applies to one SIM as the other SIM is only for 2G purposes.

The Alcatel One Touch Inspire 991D features a 4” HVGA (320 x 480 resolution) multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display, which, ideally, is already a good size to enjoy an enhanced viewing experience for photo, video, websites on a mobile device. A larger screen size also means more comfortable typing on a wider slots for the soft keys.

Alcatel One Touch 991D specs under the hood

The Alcatel One Touch Inspire 991D is powered by an ARM 800 MHz mobile CPU, which is good enough to run Gingerbread processes. However, if you wish to upgrade to Android ICS, the CPU may not be capable handle the newer Android version, which requires at least 1GHz CPU.

Though the phone has 150 MB internal storage for end-user, it can be expanded up to 32 GB via the available SD card slot. The Alcatel One Touch Inspire 991D already comes with a 2 GB micro SD upon purchase.

The Alcatel One Touch Inspire 991D features the stock version of the Android Gingerbread and as such it has access to thousands of apps in Google Play, the Android marketplace.

Like the rest of the Alcatel One products, the Alcatel One Touch Inspire 991D features a rigid body made of hard plastic casing. You can actually feel the weight and the grip. The phone also features a backside with rubbery feel.

The phone has a 5MP camera and additional VGA sub camera. It also has a micro USB port.
